FIRST VISIT

What to expect on your first visit?

Once you have booked your first appointment you will receive an intake form that we ask you to fill out prior to coming into the office. Please let our office know if you are unable to complete this form online. This intake form has a comprehensive set of questions about your current complaint, lifestyle habits, and health history. This intake form looks a bit different if you are a pediatric or perinatal patient. The doctor will then review this information before you arrive.

Once you are in the exam room, we provide basic education about chiropractic so that you can get to know us and what it is that we do. We then discuss your health history based on the intake form you submitted and ask any further pertinent questions. This part of our visit is a complimentary consultation, and if we both decide that chiropractic and our office is the right place for you, then we will move forward with the examination.

We utilize a variety of different assessments in the physical examination in order to determine where you are at and where we want you to go throughout care. This may include but is not limited to assessments of: range of motion, balance, primitive reflexes, deep tendon reflexes, eye movements, orthopedic tests, and cerebellar tests.

Then, most importantly, we perform a chiropractic analysis of the spine and/or extremities as indicated. The doctor then takes the time to put this information together and have a discussion with the patient about their results in a comprehensive report of findings. The doctor will review this information with you and allow the time to answer any questions you may have.

If no further imaging or testing is indicated we will deliver the first adjustment on this visit!

We want to foster an environment where patients feel comfortable and at ease, and our goal is to help you reclaim your health and live your best possible life!
